Terms

Last updated May 17, 2026.

Inside Out Spanish is a small independent product run by Jake and Nuria. These terms describe how purchases, accounts, and access work. If something here is unclear, email hello@insideoutspanish.com before assuming the worst — we’re reachable.

Your account

Free accounts include the public phoneme chart, unlimited single-word and short-phrase lookups, a personal library that saves your replays, and 5 lifetime trials of custom 4+ word phrase lookups. Paid plans add more on top (see /dilo). You can use one account on as many of your own devices as you want.

Purchases

Lifetime: one-time payment, access for as long as Inside Out Spanish operates as a business. No recurring charges. If Inside Out Spanish ceases operating at any point, lifetime access to Dilo and any other products will also cease. In that event, we’ll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your library before access ends.

Monthly: recurring subscription that renews until you cancel. Cancel anytime from /account. You keep paid features until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

Credits: one-time pack of N lookups. Credits expire 1 year after purchase. Unused credits at the expiry date are forfeit.

Refunds

We’ll refund any purchase within 14 days if the product isn’t what you expected. Email us and tell us briefly why — we don’t make you justify it. Outside 14 days we’ll handle requests case by case.

What we provide

Pronunciation references are AI-generated voice renderings; they represent one valid version of each regional accent, not a definitive answer. Real speakers vary. We do our best to ship high-quality output and fix mistakes when you flag them via the “flag a mistake” button.

What you agree to

Don’t share your account with people who didn’t pay. Don’t scrape or reverse- engineer the lookup API to build a competing product. Don’t use the service for anything illegal. Beyond that we trust you.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that affects existing paid users, we’ll email you before it takes effect.
